In the rugged southwest valley of the sun I spent my childhood just outside Phoenix in the college town of Tempe Arizona: A virtual oasis in the midst of a sprawling megalopolis. With a high school diploma and two years of education from a local community college I relocated in Flagstaff AZ to complete a BFA at Northern Arizona University. Under the tutelage of Bruce Horn, my chosen emphasis in painting was complimented by an undeclared second emphasis in ceramics under Paula Rice and Don Bendel.
From Flagstaff, I relocated to Arcata CA where I met my wife; the lovely and most honorable Sato. In 1996 we headded eastward in search of that proper blend of environment and civilization. Originally intent on establishing a foothold outside Boston, we ended up taking root in the great state of Maine. Currently, we reside in Falmouth in cumberland county. Here we live happily with our furry feline children and generous helpings of nature, love, and of course, art.
